Temur Ishmetov, Chairman of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, stated that it would be much more effective for Central Asian countries to act not as isolated markets in attracting investments, but rather as a unified economic space. This was mentioned in reports by the Financial Times and news published by Gazeta.uz .

According to Temur Ishmetov, closer coordination of the region's economic policies and the creation of an open trading space can increase Central Asia's attractiveness to international investors.

The region's population is expected to exceed 100 million in the coming years, and its combined economic power is projected to reach 1 trillion dollars in the future. This indicator could transform Central Asia into one of the major markets for large-scale international investment.

The Chairman of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan also emphasized that improving good-neighborly relations among the countries of the region has a positive impact on economic growth. In his view, the creation of a common market will further strengthen the position of Central Asian countries in the global economy.
