🤼♂️🥉 Alparslan Begejow wins bronze at World Championships! Turkmen wrestler Alparslan Begejow won the bronze medal in the U20 World Championships in Bratislava in the 86 kg category. He defeated Türkiye’s Sefa Jesur 9–2 in the bronze-medal bout.
Turkmen freestyle wrestler Alparslan Begejov won a bronze medal at the Under-20 World Championship held in the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava.
In the match for third place in the up to 86 kg weight category, the Turkmen wrestler competed against Turkey's representative Sefa Jesur. Alparslan Begejov defeated his opponent with a score of 9:2, securing the bronze medal of the World Championship.
Having performed successfully in the previous stages of the competition, the Turkmen athlete faced Russia's representative Ahmad Mukutov in the semifinal. In a tense match, Alparslan Begejov lost with a score of 4:8 and could not continue the fight for the gold medal.
Nevertheless, performing confidently in the decisive match for third place, he managed to claim a podium finish.
The bronze medal won by Alparslan Begejov at the world championship became another significant success for Turkmenistan's freestyle wrestling school in international arenas.
