Brazil national team forward Gabriel Jesus will continue his career at Spanish club Barcelona. The 29-year-old footballer moved to the Catalan club from England's Arsenal.
Barcelona has officially announced the signing of a contract with the Brazilian forward that runs until June 30, 2029.
Jesus moved to Arsenal in the summer of 2022 from Manchester City. While playing for the Londoners, he appeared in 123 matches across all competitions, scoring 32 goals and providing 22 assists. With Arsenal, he won the English championship and also played in the finals of the Champions League and the League Cup.
The Brazilian footballer also enjoyed a successful period at Manchester City. Playing for the club for five seasons, Jesus became a four-time English champion and a four-time League Cup winner. In addition, he won the FA Community Shield twice and the FA Cup once. In the 2020/21 season, he reached the Champions League final with Manchester City.
Having started his football career at Palmeiras, Jesus also holds an important place in the Brazil national team. He has played 64 matches for the national team, scoring 19 goals and providing 13 assists.
