Paprika Cultivation to Reach 50 Hectares at Ýigit

The Ýigit Economic Society, located in Kaka district of Ahal province, plans to expand the area used for growing paprika, a type of bell pepper. This was reported in a press release from the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. During the previous harvest season, the company experimentally cultivated paprika under greenhouse conditions on an area of 5 hectares. The trial reportedly produced a good yield. In line with this year’s production plans, the area allocated for paprika cultivation is expected to be expanded to 50 hectares.
