JEONGHAN and JOSHUA of SEVENTEEN Prep Debut From JxJ Side Unit, ‘DREAMSCAPE’

The duo's first mini-album is slated for release next month.
The two most veteran members of the sprawling K-pop collective SEVENTEEN , JOSHUA and JEONGHAN, are about to make their debut with the group’s latest subunit project.
Their side quest, JxJ (SEVENTEEN), will drop its first mini-album, DREAMSCAPE , on Oct. 19. According to a release on Tuesday (Sept. 22), the collection’s title translates to “landscape of dreams” and it promises that it captures the “dual dimensions of dreams – unconscious fantasies that bloom in our sleep and the ideals we strive for in reality. Blurring the boundaries through the constant cycle and collision of these two realms, the album opens up a new sensory world through music. As dreamers, JEONGHAN and JOSHUA are poised to deliver an audiovisual euphoria, drawing on the unfamiliar beauty discovered at this intersection.”
The announcement was accompanied by a 12-second promo video featuring two abstract, nature-based images that morph and combine to form the duo’s cryptic logo , formed out of their overlapping English initials.
Pre-orders for DREAMSCAPE will be available beginning at 10 p.m. ET today.
JEONGHAN and JOSHUA have long been members of SEVENTEEN’s vocal unit — which also features WOOZI, DK and SEUNGKWAN. JEONGHAN recently surprised fans with his cover of Japanese singer Tuki’s hit “ Bansanka ” and JOSHUA just dropped his digital single “ Baby Come Home .” J&J is the seventh official SEVENTEEN subunit, joining such previous subs as BSS, JxW, HxW, CxM, DxS and V8.
The 13-piece SEVENTEEN, which also features members S. COUPS, JUN, HOSHI, WONWOO, THE 8, MINGYU, VERNON and DINO, dropped their 12th mini-album, SPILL THE FEELS , in late 2024, followed by their fifth full-length LP, the Billboard 200 No. 2 hit HAPPY BURSTDAY , last May.
