A high-level international meeting will be held in Turkey's capital, Ankara, on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan's Independence. On September 22, 2026, a conference titled "Strategic Partnership of Turkmenistan and Turkey on the 35th Anniversary of Independence" will take place at the National Library of the Presidential Complex.
According to the website Tekha.com, the event is organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Turkey, the Eurasian Economic, Cultural and Social Research Foundation (EkoAvrasya), and the Turkic World Civil Society Cooperation Union (TÜRKSİT).
The meeting will assess the current state of multifaceted relations between Turkmenistan and Turkey. Opportunities for further developing cooperation in trade, economy, cultural-humanitarian, science, and education sectors will also be discussed.
The conference is expected to help define new areas of strategic partnership between the two countries and further strengthen bilateral ties.
