Carly Rae Jepsen, Travis Scott and Miranda Lambert also have new projects out.
This week, there’s plenty of new music to go around, from a Miley Cyrus album to a solo single from ROSÉ of BLACKPINK and more.
On Friday (Sept. 18), Cyrus dropped her first album since signing with Atlantic and changing up her name to simply Miley. Focusing on her love for fiancé Maxx Morando, Bass Persuades spans 10 dance-pop tracks and follows the singer’s 2025 album, Something Beautiful .
In a new era of individual BLACKPINK member projects, ROSÉ entered the chat — following solo releases this summer from LISA, JENNIE and JISOO — to unveil her single, “new trick.” Following the success of her debut LP rosie and smash hit “APT.,” the Auckland native is leaning into a grunge-inspired pop-rock sound as she embarks on her next independent chapter.
Other pop drops include Carly Rae Jepsen’s latest album, Day and Night , as well as Freya Skye’s track “Bad Taste” and a Kim Petras deluxe release of her Detour album, featuring four new songs. In the world of country, Miranda Lambert just unleashed single “Two Things Can Be True,” and Riley Green shared fourth studio album That’s Just Me . In hip-hop, there’s AZ Chike’s new album, No Rest for the Wicked , and Travis Scott’s song “RHYNO” from Grand Theft Auto VI . And in Latin, albums from Rels B and Michelle Maciel.
